Miyuki Magatama 4x7mm Long Beads

Miyuki Japanese seed beads are premium seed beads. They are more consistent in size than other "craft" seed beads and work very well when used in bead weaving on and off the loom. These long Magatama beads from Miyuki are a drop bead, similar to fringe beads. With a petal or dagger shape, these lovely seed beads add texture to designs, as can be seen in the Feb/Mar 2011 issue of BeadWork magazine. These beads were featured in the �Dragon Bangle� design. Their unique shape allows for the beads to stand out at a slant, creating the �spiked� effect in the bracelet. They long Magatamas have large holes and are very nice embellishments to chain maille, as well as other beaded designs.

AL	Alabaster (translucent, marble like appearance)
C	Ceylon (pearl-like finish, similar to Opaque Luster, but more subdued and the colors are often softer)
CR	Crystal (transparent, the inside of the bead is darker than the outside-similar to Inside Color Lined)
F	Fancy (transparent, usually with an Aurora Borealis finish and inside Color Lined)
GA	Galvanized (chemically plated � Color not very durable)
ICL	Inside Color Lined (transparent bead, inside of the bead is different color than the outside)

OPL	Opaque Luster (opaque with a pearl-like luster finish)

S	Satin (silky appearance � very pretty, but edges then to be sharp)
