Red Panda Beads Back Order Policy
Red Panda Beads displays the stock status and allows back
orders of items that are currently showing out of stock. Due to the high
turnover of some of the more popular items, there may be a slight delay in
updating the stock status. Please do not hesitate to order an item, even if it
is showing out of stock. Any back ordered items are forwarded as they become
available. In fact, back ordered items are filled prior to additional stock
becoming available on the website.
The back order process is a manual one. When any orders have back ordered
items, the back ordered items are highlighted on the order invoice. The partial order is sent on to the
customer and the back ordered items are added to the back order database. We use the database to track the back ordered items. When possible we include back ordered items in current orders. If there are no current orders for any given customer, then we will send the back ordered items out individually.
When sending back ordered items out individually, we use the original order information creating a new shipping label. Unfortunately, since the back order process is a manual one, the shipping program does not communicate back to my website and the shipping confirmation email does not indicate that the 2nd shipment contains only back ordered items.

How will I know if any of my items
are "back ordered"? Any back ordered items will be
indicated on the invoice included with your order when it is shipped.
Maintaining back orders is a manual process - you will not be able to review your order history to find back ordered items. If your order contains back ordered items, we highlight them on the order invoice inserted in your order package when it ships. We maintain a separate back order database that does not communicate with any order history on the Red Panda Beads website.
I have back ordered items, but the
shipping status of my order is showing "shipped". Why? The back order process is a manual
one. The back order status of items cannot be updated on customer invoices or
in any customer online account history. The back order status is maintained on
the administrative side of the Red Panda Beads website. When your back
ordered item(s) ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email and the
new shipping information will be updated in your original order, along with
manually added notes to indicate the back ordered items shipped, etc.
How long does it
take to re-stock back ordered items? The time to re-stock back
ordered items can vary from a few days to several weeks. If an item is on back
order at the factory in another country, it will take longer to re-stock.
Do I need to do anything to ensure
that I get my back ordered items when they are available? No, you do not need to do anything.
The back orders are being actively monitored by Betsy, the owner here at Red
Panda Beads. As soon as any back ordered items are available, they will be
forwarded to you.
Do I have to pay additional postage
for the back ordered items when they are shipped? No, you will
not be charged any additional money for back ordered items.
How will I know when my back order ships? You will receive a
shipping confirmation email for the order with back ordered items. You can also
check your order history to review any order notes. When back ordered items are
shipped, the back order information is updated in each of the order notes
sections of all orders associated with the back order information.
May I check on the estimated
re-stocking date? Yes, you can send an email to email@example.com any time regarding
any back ordered items.
What if I'd like to get a store credit or refund
instead of waiting for the back ordered items? You may most
certainly request a store credit or refund at any time, in lieu of waiting to receive any back
